Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Cashew Smoothie

As I’m sure you all know, once we hit fall pumpkin becomes all the rage. Pumpkin lattes, pumpkin pie, pumpkin donuts… the list goes on. But, these tendΒ to be full of sugar and processed carbs… and void of any nutrients.

So instead of giving into those sweet pumpkin cravings with an unhealthy options that is only going to leave you feeling bloated, tired, and most likely annoyed at yourself for “indulging”, whip up my Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Cashew Smoothie instead!

I made it the other day for lunch when I was craving something creamy, chocolatey and warming— and yes, although this smoothie isΒ technically cold, the pumpkin pie spice I added contains spices such as cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom, which are actually warming to the body and digestion.

It also has some great healthy fats to help keep you full, while also help to cleanse your body and get rid of unwanted weight, antioxidants, and good protein.

Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Cashew Smoothie

-Makes 1-


1/2 avocado

1 scoop/ tbsp chocolate protein powder (preferably a plant-based or high quality whey)

1 tbsp cacao powder

1 tsp maca powder (to give you a little boost of energy)

2 handfuls/ tbsp cashew pieces

1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

ice (as desired)

1 to 1.5 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk


Blend and enjoy!
