clean sweet potato mash

November 22, 2015

Mashed potatoes tend to be a staple in our society, especially around Thanksgiving and other holidays, yet it’s not the healthiest of choices to accompany your turkey. To still enjoy the sweet and savory mix that this dish offers, we can make some healthy swaps that allow you to still enjoy your food without the unhealthy ingredients and the ugly side effects!

Share this recipe with your family and help them enjoy a healthy twist to the big feast.

4 or 5 sweet potatoes (depending on size), peeled and cut into chunks

4 tbsp ghee

1/4 cup almond milk or coconut milk

Sea salt

Black pepper

1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add the sweet potatoes to the pot. Cook the sweet potatoes until they’re fork tender.

2. Drain the sweet potatoes and place them in a large bowl. Using a potato masher (or just a fork) mash the potatoes to your desired consistency.

3. Stir in the butter, milk, salt and pepper.

4. Enjoy 😘.
