Now that the weather is starting to feel like fall (at least for today), I figured it was a good time to focus on the new fresh foods that are in season as the cooler months approach. Although I love berries, I’m excited for foods like apples, pears, and pumpkins (oh my!)- and especially the many desserts that accompany them.
Sidenote: you can still eat berries, just buy them frozen- unless you were smarter than me and froze your summer fruits 😑 .
It’s nice to change up the food you eat with the change of the seasons, in order to best support your body, digestion, skin and energy. It also keeps things interesting, and gets you out of the rut of eating the same thing everyday.
Below is a list of some fruits and veggies that are perfect to add to your repertoire over the next couple of months. Pop by your local farmer’s market for fresh and local options- and you might even find something new that you’ve never tried!
